Our Story

Brenda Dean first came to Mayne Island as a child with her parents, and she moved here in 1989 with her young son. Before real estate, she owned and ran two businesses on Mayne Island and one in Sidney, and worked in client relations and sales. Her husband, Ray Dean, is a retired custom home builder on the island, which gave her insight into how island homes are built.

As a REALTOR® with RE/MAX Mayne-Pender, Brenda has earned a number of RE/MAX awards, including the Hall of Fame award in 2018 and a Lifetime Achievement award in 2021. In 2016 she was named one of Real Estate Professional magazine's 100 Elite Women in Real Estate.

The team's newest member, Chantelle Wallin, grew up in the Gulf Islands and knows the local communities well. Asked what she loves most about living here, Brenda points to the island lifestyle, small-town friendliness and the views.
