Meet Wendy from Purple Butterfly Studios. Her connection to Mayne Island spans her entire life. Having grown up visiting the family home here, the island remains a core part of her story, especially with her mom living on Mayne Island full-time. A VCC Metal Art and Design graduate, Vancouver Metal Arts Association President, and Artist in Residence at Granville Island, Wendy combines technical craft with deep personal inspiration to create wearable keepsakes built to last a lifetime.
Her work features handcrafted sterling silver, copper, and gold jewelry. Inspired by the symbol of the purple butterfly, her work celebrates grace, resilience, and personal transformation through fine, contemporary metalwork.
